  • Current BMW BS4 G310R price: 2.99 Lakh, Possible new price: 2.29 Lakh
  • Current BMW BS4 G310GS price: 3.49 Lakh, Possible new price: 2.79 Lakh

Expected to be launched by August-end or early-September 2020, We have just learnt that the BMW bikes may come with a heavy price cut of near about Rs 75,000 each. So if you are getting ready to get your hands on a brand new German roadster or adventure tourer, this may be the time. After all, BS standards do not make performance differences. If anything, some workshop experts would claim that the lower BS standard would be higher on performance and better on maintenance but that is something we cannot verify.

Basically, BS standards would not make a difference on anything other than how they reduce pollution and this stock will go somewhere. So there is no guilt in buying one for yourself and realizing your dream of owning a German bike with a grand brand name.

The updates for the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS are supposed to be borrowed from the updated BS6 Apache RR 310. According to zigwheels, the 312cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine will be the same and churn out the same power and torque as before — 34PS of power and 28Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission. There may be an upgrade and it may  come with a slipper clutch as standard with the new release.

The bikes are expected to come with the same structure. An reverse fork, Monoshock, disc brakes on both wheels along with double channel ABS system. Bikes currently are tuned for both on and off road use which suits our highway and cross country conditions very well.

The dealerships either have or are expected to introduced discounts and accesories bundles of their own to get rid of the stock, especially when there is slow sale risk at this perilious time we are facing. Also expect good finance options with those of you who have good credit scores.

Those of you with similar bikes in the garage may not bite the offer but those of you who are sitting on cash or have safe jobs in the current corona crisis, we recommend you to pick these gems before they are gone!
